In 2000 we were looking for a new family home with more space. We found this magical property by chance and immediately fell in love with it. This was our beloved family home for a number of years, then gradually as our family grew up and out, we were in a position to move to our little house in town and share this special place with others.   Our three log cabins, Papa Bear's, Mama Bear's and Baby Bear's, sit on five beautiful acres at 2700' altitude. Though you feel like you are out in the woods, you are only 2.5 miles from the energy of downtown Nevada City, with it's many shops, live theater, fine dining, city park and pool, and night life. Go the other direction, and you are just 3.5 miles from our magical Yuba River with its huge boulders and big swimming holes as well as fine hiking paths. If you want to just stay cozy in one of the log cabins, you will not be disappointed. The feeling there is so serene, even we feel like we are on vacation when we are there.
